Recently I had the opportunity to work with the wonderful board of Project Hunger. Talk about passion for serving people, these people have that passion and then some. The reason I do what I do is to help organizations like Project Hunger amplify their work. I do that by guiding these organizations in strategic and action planning sessions.
Through strategic planning I assist board members and volunteers to bring forth all their historical information, lay it out in a visual manner then help them use that data to plan where they want to go. We identify the concerns and create approaches to overcome them.
The final piece of the puzzle is creating accountable and measurable goals. All the pieces of the puzzle come together in a document that can be shared with every member of the organization. Strategic directions are clear so everyone is rowing the boat together.
It just lights me up to see people discover ah-ha moments. If fires me up to so see people scribbling rapidly with insight and ideas. It does a heart good to see solid action plans take shape.
The Project Hunger team is all about providing meals for those in need with Christ centered focus on client dignity. I applaud this group for the work they are doing. I look forward to watching their vision for service grow through the work they did in their strategic planning session.
